These sites are poorly made Affiliate marketing sites. Simply a page of advertising.
Affiliate marketing is widely promoted as a legitimate way to make money on the internet. The "better" sites are those that provide some content of interest to the reader and then lots of relevant links to sites to purchase goods or services.
One such program is described here: http://affiliate.org.au/
Companies pay commissions for referring customers to their to sites and higher commissions if purchases are made.
There are affiliate sites for every category see:
http://www.affiliateranker.com/
Yahoo and google also run affiliate programs but with restrictions on limited content or no content sites as above.
